DON KINDRED
Executive Director

A native of California, Don has been involved in music and the arts all of his life. Don’s music career started early, singing with the San Francisco Boys Chorus. There he had the opportunity to tour and perform with the Vienna Boys Choir, sing on a number of television productions including the Ed Sullivan Show and perform with the San Francisco Opera Company in La Boehme, Tosca and Carmen. Don continued his music endeavors playing string bass throughout his life in many bands, ensembles and orchestras.

After serving in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War, Don earned his Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Fullerton and pursued a successful 42 year career in the retail industry before retiring in 2012.

Don now focuses his efforts on the arts. Along with the Corona Symphony, Don is very involved in developing a music conservatory initially focusing on string musicians. Along these same lines, Don is very involved with Christian Arts and Theatre, serving on their board.

I feel the arts are vital to the health of our community. Our children need the richness of the arts in their lives and we need to ensure those opportunities are available to them.
