Corona Symphony Orchestra to play Tournament House in Pasadena

The Corona Symphony Orchestra will play a free holiday concert Sunday, Dec. 17 at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses House.

The 26-member orchestra from Corona will perform at 4:15 p.m. on the front lawn of the Tournament House. The concert is part of “the seasonal celebrations,” according to a news release from the Tournament of Roses, and will feature “holiday melodies and live orchestral music.” Some performances will also take place from the upstairs balcony, the release states.

“I have the honor of opening each concert,” Don Kindred, executive director of the Corona group, said in the release. “I walk out on the stage, pick up the microphone and begin with ‘Good evening and welcome.’”

The 2024 Rose Parade theme, “Celebrating a World of Music: The Universal Language,” will be present in the Sunday concert as well, the release states.

Since the Sunday event will be held on the lawn, it’s recommended concert-goers bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The Tournament House is at 391 S. Orange Grove Blvd., in Pasadena.
