LORI BONNER, Conservatory Education Director

Lori serves as the Educational Director. Her duties are largely built around organizing, administering and teaching the Corona Symphony Conservatory. The Conservatory teaches strings to youth of all ages and skill levels, and is growing to meet the needs of the greater Corona area. She was a founding member of the Corona Symphony, playing French horn.

Lori has taught music at more than twenty of the Corona-Norco Unified School District’s elementary schools and has also worked with students at the intermediate and high school level in surrounding areas. In the process, she has instructed thousands of young musicians. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, a Master’s Degree in Education, a Teaching Credential in Music, and a Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development Credential.

Lori saw the need for having a vibrant string program in the area. In response to this, she began the Corona Symphony Conservatory. Immediately, the program garnered support from students and the community. Her goal is to create a bridge between young musicians, their parents, the community and the Corona Symphony in order to develop a program which both supports the Symphony and benefits from the musical experiences the Symphony offers.

The Conservatory is young, but Lori actively teaches for the day when a child that began at the Conservatory joins the Corona Symphony as a full-fledged professional member. Lori lives in the Inland Empire with her husband Scott, and their children Ryan and Lindsay.

SCOTT BONNER, Music Director/Conductor (Conservatory & Youth Symphony)

Scott Bonner is the conductor of ensembles for the Corona Symphony Conservatory and is the founding conductor of the Corona Youth Symphony. In addition to these duties he is the director of bands at Day Creek Intermediate School in Etiwanda, California, where he teachers approximately 350 students. He is currently in his 30th year of teaching music, having taught band at grades 4 through 12, and conducted a number of University groups. Previously Mr. Bonner taught for four years in the Pomona Unified School District. Mr. Bonner received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and received his Master of Music Education from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. Prior to working with the Corona Symphony Conservatory, Mr. Bonner taught orchestra for the Saturday Conservatory of Music in Pasadena, California for six years, where he conducted two of the four orchestras, and composed a significant body of works for these orchestras. Mr. Bonner conducts numerous clinics for musical ensembles at all levels. He has conducted many honor bands as well. His band method “Band Boot Camp” is being used in school districts all over the country. He is a composer of several pieces for band and orchestra. Mr. Bonner is also a licensed attorney in California, Arizona, Georgia and Texas and has thriving law practice, specializing in Trusts, Wills and Estates. He received his juris doctor degree from the University of La Verne College Of Law. In addition to his work with the Corona Symphony, Mr. Bonner sits on the board of directors of the San Bernardino Symphony in San Bernardino, California. He and his wife Lori enjoy traveling, winemaking, brewing and restoring classic cars.

DIANE ROSE, Web Designer

Diane Rose enjoyed a twenty year career in biotechnology and biostatistics as an administrative support professional for high level leadership. Upon her retirement, Diane rekindled her passion for the sport of NHRA drag racing which eventually led to a second career. Diane designs, builds and maintains websites for multiple professional race drivers and athletes.

Along life’s path, Diane earned a degree in Human Services, with emphasis in Psychology and Sociology. She was a member of the Enbrel® development team and received numerous awards for her “out of the box” ideas, her organizational skills, and her creation of concepts and proposals that led to cost saving measures for her prior employers.

Diane is a freelance web designer with multiple active websites maintained daily. She is also working with professional race teams on all phases of marketing (social media, blogs, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations and delivery of ROI, ROE and ROO for sponsors). She continues to grow her skills in obtaining quantifiable results for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
